Stella Hinman Compton Dies; Burial In Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Stella Hinman Compton died Tuesday at her home in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held in Bowling Green. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel from six o'clock Thursday evening, May 12. Gravesite services will be conducted at nine o'clock Friday morning in Oakwood cemetery by the Reverend Dale Harmon.

Mrs. Compton was born in Mt. Vernon October 1, 1882, the daughter of Robert N. and Ella (Burghart) Hinman.

She was married to Clayton A. Compton, who died in 1944.

She is survived by the following daughters and sons: Dorothy and Claudia Compton, Mrs. Margaret Grant, Mrs. Beatrice Lanford, Henry, Westly, and Clayton Compton; a brother, John H. Hinman and two nephews, Robert J. and Gene M. Hinman.
