Harold Conder
HAROLD CONDER, A FORMER RESIDENT, KILLED IN DECATUR: Harold Conder of Decatur, a former resident of Mt. Vernon was killed in an automobile accident there early Sunday morning, relatives here learned today. He was 36 years old. Mr. Conder formerly was a switchman for the former W. C. & W. railroad, leaving here 10 years ago to move to Decatur. He is survived by the widow, who before her marriage was Flora Yearwood, and three children, Dortha, Helen and Fay, all at home; one brother, Clyde Conder of East St. Louis; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Morrison, Decatur, and Myra Conder of Chester. Funeral services will be held in Decatur at nine o'clock Tuesday morning, following which the body will be brought to Mt. Vernon and short services will be held at the East Salem church at two o'clock. Interment will be made in the cemetery at that church.
