Sandra Kaye Cordle, 62, of Bridgeton, Mo., and formerly of Mt. Vernon died 11:05 a.m. March 13, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.

She was a customer service and data entry specialist for the St. Louis area medical book publishing company, C.V. Mosby.

Mrs. Cordle was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Mt. Vernon to John Virgil and Ethel Mae (Payne) Pigg.

She married Patrick Ossie M. Cordle July 6, 1963, in Mt. Vernon; he preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1988.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Ken Atherton will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Cordle is survived by two sons, John Patrick Cordle of Collinsville and Jeremy Ossie Cordle and wife Heather of Ferguson, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Kathryn Sartin and husband Todd of Marion and Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Birk and husband Cory of Wentzville, Mo.; four grandchildren, Hamilton Barret Cordle, Connor Patrick Cordle, Aidan Vance Birk and Shannon David Cordle; a brother, David Virgil Pigg and special friend Rose Daniels of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Judy Millinax and husband Jack of Coppell, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mrs. Cordle was a member of Fee Fee Baptist Church in Bridgeton, Mo.
