Mrs. Elizabeth COWGER, widow of the late John COWGER, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M.W. BRITTON, on Shawnee Street, in South Mt. Vernon, at one o'clock this afternoon, aged seventy-four years.

Deceased had resided in this county for more than half a century and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.

She was a devoted, Christian woman and had been a member of the Baptist church since childhood.

Her husband died in 1870.

The funeral will take place at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment at Sursa cemetery.Friends of the family invited."
