P. K. Crosnoe

Former Resident Died Early Today in Detroit, Mich.

P.K. Crosnoe, Member of Old Jefferson County Family, Died Suddenly and Unexpectedly. Funeral Plans Not Made.

Mrs. Jennie Davis was this morning notified of the sudden and unexpected death of her brother, P.K. Crosnoe, which took place at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Morphew, in Detroit, Mich., where he had gone to spend the winter.

Mr. Crosnoe retired in his usual state of health last night, but when he was called for breakfast this morning failed to respond and investigation showed that he had died sometime in the night. Nothing was known this morning as the funeral plans.

Mr. Crosnoe was a former resident of Jefferson county and was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Joseph Crosnoe of Jefferson county, in their day among the best known and most highly respected residents of the county. Mr. Crosnoe had not lived in Jefferson county for some years, spending some of the time in Los Angeles.

Mr. Crosnoe, while a resident of Jefferson county, had many friends and will be pleasantly remembered by all of them, both in the south part of the county and in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Crosnoe was 76 years old. His wife preceded him in death some years ago.

He is survived by six children as follows; Ed of Clinton, Ill; Miss Lora, Los Angeles; Mrs. Ina Morphew, Detroit; John R. of Salem, Ill; Miss Vesta, a teacher in the Decatur, Ill schools; and Dial Crosnoe of Bonnie.

Two sisters and five brothers survive, Mrs. Jennie Davis and Mrs. Willie Marlow of Mt. Vernon; and Charles Crosnoe, Albuquerque, N.M.; Howard, Bakersfield, Calif.; Samuel and Otto, Arthur, Ill.; and H.W. Crosnoe of McClellan township.
