John W. Curran Died Thursday; Be Buried Saturday... John W. Curran, affectionately known as "Uncle John" died at the family residence on the Tolle Road, at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Death is attributed to the infirmities of old age. John Wesley Curran was born Aug. 10/19, 1863 at Warsaw, Ohio (look at the newspaper for this line.) to Curran. His age was 70 years, five months and 20 days at time of death. He was united in marriage with Flora McDonald Oct. 1, 1891, at Decatur, Ill. Mrs. Curran and the following children survive him. Mrs. Leonard Beckham of Watsonville, Calif.; Mrs. W. A. Hicks of East Gridley, Calif.; Lloyd Curran of Rockwell City, Ia.; Roy Curran of Lovington, Ill., and Mrs. Noel Smith of this city. Eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and the following brothers survive. Will Curran of Lodge, Ill., Clarence of Youngertown, N.Y., and Edward of Columbus, O. Several years ago he joined the Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Hopewell church, the Rev. Marion Jackson officiating. Interment will be had at Hopewell Cemetery.
