Homer A. DAGG, 80, of 306 South Second Street, a retired Mt. Vernon businessman, died at 8:15 last night at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mr. DAGG owned and operated the DAGG Junk Yard in East Mt. Vernon for many years before his retirement, had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Military services will be in charge of American Legion Post 141. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. DAGG, a veteran of World War I, was a longtime member of American Legion Post 141.

He was born August 22, 1892 at Bluford, the son of Sherman and May (GALIGER) DAGG.

He was first married to Janie STONE, who preceded him in death October 4, 1960.

On April 6, 1963 he was married to Edna CLINTON who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Paul and Charles DAGG, both of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis BEARD and Mrs. Monda FORTH, both of Mt. Vernon; three step-sons, John BEARD of Bluford, Bobby BEARD of Bonnie and Donald BEARD of Centralia; three step-daughters, Mrs. Edna WILSON of Aurora, Mrs. Marjorie DAGG of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Lela BAILEY of Bonnie; two brothers, Vern DAGG of Orchardville and Gerald DAGG of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Opal SUMMERS of Florida; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
