Marjorie DAGG, 73, of Mt. Vernon died 7 a.m. January 23, 2002, at Nature Trail Health Care Center.

She was born January 8, 1929, in Bonnie, to John and Edna (CLINTON) BEARD.

She married Paul Ivan DAGG May 15, 1946, in Benton; he died December 28, 1979.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Revs. Jesse ALLEN and Mike GILLOCK will officiate. Burial will be at Smith Cemetery in Belle Rive. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Dagg is survivied by a son, Bill DAGG and wife Nancy of Mobile, AL; two grandsons, Billy DAGG and Scotty DAGG; two granddaughters, Theresa DAGG and Margie BROWNLEY; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby BEARD Sr. of Odin and Donald F. BEARD of Dix; two sisters, Edna Laverne ALEXANDER of West Plains, MO; and Lela Mae BAILEY of Bonnie; a sister-in-law, Phyllis BEARD of Mt. Vernon; a special friend, James RECTOR of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 1367.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Ronald.
