Thomas Edgar Daniel, of the Benton Road, died at 12:30 this afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 25 days.

Mr. Daniel had operated the Blue Haven Motor court since 1941. Before that he was a farmer.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Dale Harmon will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at Myers Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Daniel was born October 17, 1882 in Jefferson county, the son of Henry P. and Mary Ann (Gilbert) Daniel.

A lifetime resident of this county, he resided in the home which had belonged to his grandfather.

He was married 53 years ago last June 24 to Bertha Ford, who survives.

Mr. Daniel was a member of the First Methodist church and the Woodman Lodge.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Martha Queisinberry of Mt. Vernon; a son, Frank M. Daniel of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Grace Poole of Mt. Vernon; and four grandchildren.
