The death of General William Worth DARE, age 56 years, died at the family residence in Elk Prairie at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, paralysis being the agent through which death claimed him.

In January 1867 he was married to Miss Mary L. CLINTON, who with three children survive him.

Mr. DARE, soon after his marriage united with the M. E. Church and remained a consistent member until death.

During life he made many friends and builded for himself an excellent character. He was a faithful friend, a good neighbor, and an extremely kind husband and father. He always stood up for the right and condemned the wrong. To live thus is to fulfill the purpose for which man was created.

His wife, children, relatives and friends today mourn his death, but may hope take the place of grief, and lead us all to better lives, that when our time here is ended we may all be united in the better world.

General William Worth Dare Succumbs to an Attack of Paralysis

The death of General William Worth Dare, aged 56 years died at the family residence in Elk Prairie at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, paralysis being the agent through which death claimed him.

Rites Here for William G. Dare

Word has been received here of the death of William G. Dare, former Mt. Vernon resident, which occurred Monday in Little Rock, Ark. His age was 65 years, seven months and 29 days.

The body was brought to Mt. Vernon today, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 PM at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. W. W. Harvey officiating, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call.

Mr. Dare was born April 10, 1881 in Jefferson County, the son of Sim W. and Mary Ann (Puckett) Dare.

He was married to Lettie Reed, who survives.

Mr. Dare left Mt. Vernon several years ago and resided in Chicago before moving to Little Rock.

He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.

Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, Reed Dare of Little Rock, Ark.: one brother, Lon D. Dare of Mt. Vernon; and three grandchildren.
