Anna Marie (Fairchild) Darrough

Anna Marie Darrough, 71, died on Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at 3:55 a.m. in her home.

Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. in the Waltonville Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bruce Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The Newell Funeral Home, Waltonville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Darrough was born on Aug. 15, 1928, the daughter of Orval and Annabel (Braden) Fairchild.

She was married and widowed three times; her first husband being Amos Neabuhr Jr., second husband Rev. James Hicks and third husband Alva Darrough.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Waltonville Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Neabuhr and wife Sharon of Mt. Vernon, James Travis Hicks and special friend Becky Stewart of Waltonville; one daughter, Patricia smith and husband Patrick of Waltonville; four sisters, Meda and husband Charles Beckham, Shirley and husband Jerry Gilbert, all of Waltonville; Nina and husband Ronald Ratajczyk of Tamaroa, Sheryl and husband Jerry Wilderman of Bonnie; four brothers, Aldon Fairchild and wife Margaret, Bobby Gene Fairchild and wife Dorothy, Ronald Fairchild and wife Peggy and Lowell Tom Fairchild and wife Marie, all of Waltonville; two brothers-in-law, Keith Beckham and Jack Dixon; eight grandchildren, Donnie Neabuhr, Nathan Neabuhr, Lindsey Hicks, Travis Hicks, Curtis Smith, Andi Smith, Sadie Smith, Mallory Smith.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Orval Jackson Fairchild; two sisters, Irene Bookham and Barbara Dixon. Memorials may be made to the Free Will Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
