Marsh E. Davis, a well known farmer, died yesterday at his home in Dix at the age of 79 years and 28 days.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm. at the Dix Methodist church with the Rev. Joseph Harris and the Rev. Sam McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. The body will remain at the family home, where friends may call.

Mr. Davis was born October 24, 1872, the sone of George W. and Martha (Casey) Davis.

On December 22, 1897 he was married to Louise B. Myers, who preceded him in death April 29, 1945.

Mr. Davis was a member of the Dix Methodist church.

He is survived by four sons, Raleigh T. and Henry E. of Dix, Charley E. of Gary, Ind.and Wayne of Centralia; three daughters, Ruby E. Davis, at home, Ruth Hobbs of Centralia and Lola Belle Knauss of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Lucy Scheninger of Centralia; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
