Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Dees will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Wilton Funeral home, 2101 north Knoxville in Peoria. Burial will be in Peoria. The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. Friday. Mrs Dees, 60, of Peoria, died Wednesday at 8:25 p.m. in that city.

She was a former resident of the Waltonville community.

She was born May 14, 1907, near Waltonville, the daughter of Frank and Maude Place.

She was married to John W. Dees, who survives.

She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Maude Place of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Alford of Champaign and Mrs. Norma Lee Dieckow of Washington, Ill,; two brothers, Paul Place of Aurora, and Claude Place of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Imig of Groveland, Ill., and Mrs. Ruby Ion and Mrs. Sylvia Robinson, both of Mt. Vernon; and six grandchildren.
