Death Notice: November 30, 1959 Mother of Mt. Vernon Residents Dies in Abilene, Texas Mrs. Leona Dillingham, 84, died at 1:27 P.M. yesterday at her home in Abilene, Texas.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. next Tuesday, November 3, at Myers Chapel and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4 P.M. Monday. Mrs. Dillingham was born in Mt. Vernon on June 17, 1875, the daughter of Demas K. and Sophina (Piercy) Goodale. She was married to William W. Dillingham, who died August 27, 1944. Survivors include two sons, Harry W. Dillingham and Kenneth G. Dillingham both of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Mrs. Ruis H. Garrison of this city, Mrs. Amos N. Reynolds of Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Eugene Cummings of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. W.H. Rogers of Burley, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Death Notice #2 Rites Tuesday for Mrs. Dillingham Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Dillingham, a former resident of Mt. Vernon, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. Mrs. Dillingham died last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amos N. Reynolds of Abilene, Texas. She is survived by two sons, Harry W. and Kenneth G. Dillingham of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Mrs. Ruis Garrison of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Amos N. Reynolds of Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Eugene Cummins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mrs. W. H. Rogers of Burley, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
