Ann Dodds
The Mt. Vernon Register News published the following on Thursday, November 18, 1915 which read: Mrs. Ann Dodds, aged 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Mannen, in Waltonville, Wednesday afternoon, after a severe illness of several weeks. For some months Mrs. Dodds' health has been failing rapidly, and her death was due to senility. She was the widow of the late Wm. Dodds, who was one of the county's best known farmers and farmed _____ all the years they revised on the farm on which Jerome Mannen now lives on the west limits of the city. Few persons were more active in their daily affairs than Mrs. Dodds was when she was able to be up and doing. In church affairs she _______ a prominent part, and was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. The surviving members of her immediate family are Mrs. Lizzie Mannen, Mrs. Walter Gilbert, Waltonville; Joe Dodds, Elk Prairie, Sam Dodds, Paducah, Kentucky, and Charles Dodds of Montana. The funeral will be held in Waltonville Saturday morning and the body will be brought here and taken in West Salem for burial.
