Arminius Ira Dodson, 73, of RFD 1 Dix, died at 9:40 pm Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Viola Reaney of 329 south Second street.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Boyd Christian Church and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, where friends may call at any time after 2:00 pm Saturday.

Mr. Dodson was born in Washington county, the son of William T. and Mary (Dotson) Dodson.

He was married in 1905 to Mary L. Smith, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Lois Henderson and Marie Jackson of Olive Branch, Ill., Dola Holderfield of Cobden, Viola Reaney of Mt. Vernon and Melba Williamson of Livingston, Wis.; two brothers, George of Irvington and Sherman of Mill Creek, Ill.; two sisters, Florence Witzel of Cravat and Ruth Benjamin of Centralia; and 16 grand-children.

One daughter, Doris, preceded him in death.
