Virgie Virginia Dodson, 87, of Mt Vernon died 10;05 a.m; Dec.7,1996, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

She was employed.at the Mt Vernon Garment Factory for several years.

Mrs. Dodson was born Dec. 26.1908.in Bluford, a daughter of William Freeman and Flora Isabelle (Hubbs) Snow.

May 22. 1929, in Nashville, she married William E.(Ed) Dodson, who died May 3, 1994.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Larry W. Jones officiating. Those attending the graveside services are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Tuesday morning. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home. .

Mrs. Dodson is survived by sons James E. Dodson and wife Freda of Mt. Vernon, Don Dodson and wife Colleen of Texico and Robert Dodson and wife Donna of Mt, Vemon; seven grandchildren,; Terry Dodson, and wife Teresa, Jim J. Dodson and wife Jamie, Susan Dodson, Mike Dodson, Cary Dodson and wife Joleen, Heather Wolf and husband Rob, Michelle Maynor and husband Lyle; eight great grandchildren: and several nieces and nephew.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Leona Ramsey, and two brothers Alva Henry Snow and Earl Talmage Snow.
