Danielle L. Doering, 17, of Mt. Vernon died 9:53 p.m. Nov. 26, 2001, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

She was a senior student at Mt. Vernon Township High School and was employed part-time at Bonanza Restaurant in Mt. Vernon.

Miss Doering was born June 28, 1984, in Mt. Vernon to Terry T. Doering and Rebecca L. “Becci” (Shelton) Doering; both survive.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Hopewell Cemetery north of Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Bob Southerd will officiate. Those attending the graveside services are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Friday morning. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Hughey Funeral Home.

Miss Doering is survived by her mother, Rebecca “Becci” Doering of Mt. Vernon; her father, Terry T. Doering of Valparaiso, Ind.; two brothers, Dustin Ty Doering and Christian Dane Doering, both of Mt. Vernon; her grandparents, Ron and Mary Shelton of Mt. Vernon and Mel and Liz Doering of Valparaiso, Ind.; and special friends, Kyle, Kaylie, Butch, and Max.

She was a member of JAVA at Mt. Vernon Township High School.

She was a member of the Vernois paper staff at Mt. Vernon Township High School and active in the High School art department.

Miss Doering was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the art department at Mt. Vernon Township High School and will be accepted at the services or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home at P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Ill., 62864.
