Gladys M. (Ligon) Drennan
Gladys M. DRENNAN, 85, a resident of Nature Trail Nursing Home, died at 2:25 p.m. Thursday in the nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Myers-Baril Chapel with the Rev. Howard FLOTA officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. Mrs. DRENNAN was born in Ina August 17, 1898, the daughter of William Daniel and Rhoda (HICKS) LIGON. On May 5, 1916, in Jefferson County, she married Felix DRENNAN, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth WILLIS of Kingston, Tenn., Sue Ann GOODMAN of Centralia and Kay JENKINS of Mt. Vernon; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three half brothers, Guy and William LIGON of Ina and Ted LIGON of Seattle; and four half sisters, Wilma COOK of West Frankfort, Edith ODLE of Indiana, Marie BOWMAN of Seattle and Wanda McLAUGHLIN of Mt. Vernon. Mrs. DRENNAN was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bob and Bill DRENNAN; two daughters, Elizabeth PEAVLER and Mila MATHEWS, and six grandchildren.
