Samuel M. Drennan
Samuel M. DRENNAN died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Hester Nursing Home in Ina. He was 80 years of age. Mr. DRENNAN suffered a stroke of paralysis a few years ago and has been in an almost helpless condition since. He suffered a second stroke shortly before his death. Mr. DRENNAN was one of our most highly respected citizens. He spent his entire life in this community where in his younger days he engaged in farming and also worked for some on the railroad. His wife, the former Lora HOWARD, preceded him in death in 1940. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Felix and Harry DRENNAN of Mt. Vernon, Orville DRENNAN of Bonnie, and Mrs. Herman TAYLOR of Ina. Also one sister, Mrs. Della HUGHEY of Mt. Vernon, two half-brothers, G. D. KOONCE of Long Beach, Calif., and W. J. KOONCE of Fouke, Ark., and two half sisters, Mrs. Grace ARNOLD of Benton and Mrs. Elsie GLASS of Mt. Vernon. The body was taken to the Ina Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church in Ina.
