Cleva Mardella (Chambliss) Dycus, age 77, of Mt. Vernon died Thursday, February 9, 2006, at White Oak Rehabilitation Care Center in Mt. Vernon.

She was born September 26, 1928, in Jefferson County, Illinois, daughter of Willis Chambliss and Laura (Brady) Chambliss.

She married Robert M. Dycus on February 14, 1992 in Jefferson County, Illinois.

Mardella is survived by her husband, Robert M. Dycus of Mt. Vernon; one son, Byford Lynn Klebba and wife Tammy of Mt. Vernon; one daughter Angela Faye (Arendale) Haller of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Wilma Faye Johnson of Sebring, Florida; three grandchildren, Byford Chance Klebba of Mt. Vernon, Bertha Marie (Haller) Cisne and husband Larry of Wayne City, Illinois, Mica Hope Klebba of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one great grandchild and eight step great grandchildren; two stepsons; Robert Dycus and wife Nina of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Kevin Todd Dycus of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two stepdaughters; Lee Ann (Dycus) Johnson and husband Jim of Mt. Vernon, Amy (Dycus) Scarbrough and husband Jeff of Mt. Vernon; two stepbrothers; Glen Dale Byars and Bill Byars; sister-in-law Barbara Chambliss of Wayne City, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her parents, a son: Billy Ray Klebba, both husbands: Walter Arendale and Bernard A. Klebba, sister: Thelma white, brothers; Melvin and Leroy Chambliss and her stepmother; Mary Chambliss, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dycus was a member of New Hope Webb Church, the V. F. W. Ladies' Auxiliary and the Moose Club of Mt. Vernon. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Burial followed at New Shiloh Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
