Helen M. (Crosno) Edmison
Helen M. Edmison, 88, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and formerly of Mt. Vernon died 4:15 a.m. March 13, 2006, at her residence. She worked for 19 seasons as a hostess for the "Rags to Riches Chasing Rainbows" show at Dollywood, Tenn. Mrs. Edmison was born April 1, 1917, in Mt. Vernon to Hardin W. "Pete" and Birdie (Hodge) Crosno. She married Clarence E. Edmison in Mt. Vernon Feb. 7, 1936; he preceded her in death July 21, 1993. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County. Gene Fox will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Edmison is survived by two daughters, Phyllis McIntyre of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Wilma Bondurant of Sevierville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Randy Tate of Sevierville, Tenn., Terry Owens of Rawlins, Wyo., Steve Tate of Mt. Vernon, Joe Tate of Kodak, Tenn., Missy Tate of Clarksville, Cyndy Woller of Arnold, Mo., and Sara Powell of Decatur; a special friend, Johnnie Crawford of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents; her husband; three brothers, William, Lee and Howard Crosno; and a sister, Hazel Tannehill, preceded her in death. Mrs. Edmison was Christian by faith.
