Mary Margaret Edwards, 60, of 1225 Florence, Apt. 8 Pekin, died at 1:28 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 1984, in the emergency room at the Pekin Memorial Hospital.

Born March 4, 1924, at Michigan City, Ind., she was a daughter of Frank and Frankie Lyle Estes.

They preceded her in death. She was adopted by Henry and Georgianna Brennecke. They also preceded her in death.

She married Leland S. Edwards Aug. 18, 1946, at Mt. Vernon.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Reaktenwalt of Bartonville, Mrs. Bennie (Diane)Lee of Omaha, Neb. and Mrs. Sandra Edwards of Pekin; four granddaughters and one brother, Lyle W. Estes of Girard, Ohio.

One brother also preceded her in death.

She was a retired nurse’s aid at the Pekin Memorial Hospital after 15 years. She was later a volunteer at the hospital, last working Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Our Saviour Lutheran Church. The Rev. Lyle Steinfeldt will officiate. Burial will be in the Gledale Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 3 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Woolsey Funeral Home and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
