Charles Eldridge, 69, of Bonnie died 12:30 a.m. July 5, 2005, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. He was a farmer.

Mr. Eldridge was born July 29, 1935, in Jefferson County to John and Ida (Irvin) Eldridge.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina. The Rev. Loran Bumpus will officiate. Burial will follow at Hams Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.

Mr. Eldridge is survived by sisters Lorene Modlin of Bonnie, Freda Pierce of Bonnie and Ava Frailey and husband Paul of Belle Rive. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Vincel Pierce and Fred Modlin; and three nephews, David Pierce, Ronald Frailey and Charles Dewayne Modlin.

Mr. Eldridge was a member of Moores Prairie Church. He was an Army veteran.
