Mrs. Almedia ELKINS of 1015 Shawnee, died at Jefferson Memorial Hospital Saturday evening at 9:45. Death followed a short illness. She was the widow of Louis ELKINS.

Born August 10, 1871, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of William and Anna (COOK) RUSSELL. At the time of death she was 80 years and one day of age.

Mrs. ELKINS is survived by one son, William, of Peoria, two brothers, Louis RUSSELL and Frank RUSSELL of Springfield, and two grandchildren. Three sisters are dead.

She had been a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge for 40 years and of the First General Baptist Church 25 years.

Funeral services will be held at the Pulley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Steve SHEHORN. Burial will be in East Hickory Hill, near Bluford. The body will lie in state at the funeral home, where friends may call.
