Gloria Jean (Tucker) England
Gloria Jean England, 59, of Bonnie, died 5:07 a.m. Jan. 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis. She was a registered Nurse at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Born February 16, 1947, in Jefferson County, she was a daughter of Maude I. Tucker. She married Gerald E. England on April 10, 1965, in Mt. Vernon. Gloria dearly loved him and greatly missed him after he preceded her in death on November 24, 2003. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Chuck Ellis and Mr. Jamie Allen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. She is survived by two sons, Scott England and wife Jackie of Waltonville and Kevin England of Bonnie; two daughters Melissa Reed and husband Eric of Bluford and Melanie England and fiance Gary Hails of Woodlawn; five grandchildren: Jamie and Christopher England of Waltonville, Deanna and Ryan England of Mt. Vernon and John Hails of Woodlawn; and an aunt: Opal Peterson of Bonnie. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Mt. Vernon. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the St. Mary's Good Samaritan Auxiliary and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt.
