Former Resident Dies Last Night in East St. Louis

Relatives here were notified today of the death of Mrs. Ren Esmon, which occurred last night at East St. Louis.

The body will be brought to Mt. Vernon for burial and will arrive Thursday, when funeral plans will be made.

Mrs. Esmon was the wife of Ren Esmon, and before her marriage was Miss Iva Owens, daughter of the late Tom Owens and wife and was born and raised in Mt. Vernon.

The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Reed Buford, a sister of Mrs. Esmon.

It is said Mrs. Esmon died while being operated on.
