Mrs. Rosa FARTHING of Mt. Vernon, former resident of this community, died last Wednesday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon at the age of 82.

She was born in Bonnie November 21, 1873, the daughter of Jasper and Mary (ALLEN) HARMON.

Her husband, Mike FARTHING, preceded her in death July 10, 1937.

A daughter, Mrs. Ada HOLLAND of St. Louis survives.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel in Mt. Vernon with burial at the Kirk Cemetery.
