Mildred E. (Bullock) Floyd
Mildred E. Floyd, 82, of Mt. Vernon died 4:44 p.m. July 2, 2005, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Floyd was born June 2, 1923, in Salem to Henry F. and Goldie F. (Brown) Bullock. She married Norman L. Floyd Sept. 23, 1939, in Valley Park, Mo.; he died May 23, 1993. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. The Revs. Merle Fullerton and Daniel Jurek will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Wednesday morning. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Floyd is survived by a daughter, Mary F. Winscott and husband Charles of Gallatin, Tenn.; two sons, Donald L. Floyd and wife Linda of Opdyke and George D. Floyd and wife Keyma of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, Debbie Goddard of Dallas, Texas, Richard Goddard and wife Missy of Gallatin, Tenn., Lisa Withrow and husband Scott of Bluford, Cathy Smith and husband Blake of Spartanburg, S.C., and Wendi Caserotti and husband Phil of Mt. Vernon; and 10 great-grandchildren, Brittany Kryger of Mt. Vernon, Emma Caserotti of Mt. Vernon, Justin Smith of Spartanburg, S.C., Ryan Smith of Spartanburg, S.C., Tyler Goddard of Gallatin, Tenn., Elizabeth Jones of Hiawassee, Ga., Bryan Jones of Bluford, Kimber Withrow of Bluford, Hannah Withrow of Bluford and Patrick Withrow of Bluford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four brothers. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt.
