Lena E. Ford, 93, of Mt. Vernon, died at 8:50 a.m. Dec. 10, 2004 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ford was born June 7, 1911 in Hamilton County to Andrew J. Holland and Emma C. (Hertenstein) Holland.

She married Arthur E. Ford April 18, 1946, in Mt. Vernon; he survives.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Williams Cemetery in Jefferson County, where the Rev. Buss Hart will officiate. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery.Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Ford was survived by her husband Arthur; sister Dorothy Miller and husband Earl of Boonville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews including Junior Merchel and wife Barbara of Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred Holland and sister Beulah Holabeck.

She was a member of the Morris Prairie Baptist Church and the Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141 Auxiliary.
