SAMUEL W. FOWLER, Died in Ina Samuel W. FOWLER, 81, one of Spring Garden’s best know residents died at his home in Ina, last night at seven O’clock. He had been in poor health for several months. He had been unusually active for the past several years of his life. A member of Pioneer Tennesse family, he followed the footsteps of his ancestors and came to Illinois at the age of 19. He was united in marriage to Sarah HOGAN in January 1882 and settled on a farm in the New Hope Community, where he resided until four years ago, when he moved to Ina. He was a farmer and stock man. He was the son of Jeff and Nancy FOWLER. His widow and the following children survive; Joe, Frank, Fred, Walter and Alva of Ina, Bruce of Macedonia. And Mrs. Ella PETTYPOOL of Bonnie. Two sisters. Margaret KNOWLES of Cynthiana, Indiana and Eliza FOWLER of Mt. Vernon and one brother L. M. FOWLER of Ina. Funeral services will be held at one O’clock Sunday afternoon at the New Hope Church, conducted by Rev. W. R. SPURLOCK and burial in the nearby cemetery.
