KLEETA L. FRANCIS, 82, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

She was born on Sunday, June 6, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of the late Milton L. and Marie (Peyton) Ford.

She married Everett O. Francis on June 10, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1979.

FUNERAL SERVICES: were held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 22, 2008 in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Reverend Chuck Ellis officiated.

VISITATION: was held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

INTERMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Surviving family members include her Son: James L. Francis and wife Suzanne of Woodlawn, Illinois; 3 Daughters: Sharon Francis Stellman of Boerne, Texas, Sandra Marlowe, Wright of Belle Rive, Illinois and Sheila Taylor,Graham; 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Her parents, Milton Ford and Marie Peyton, husband, Everett Olen Francis, sister: Frances Gilardi and one grandson: Chuck Brown preceded her in death.

Kleeta ran Francis Furniture in Mt. Vernon for 15 years, was a caretaker for the elderly, was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
