Disappeared while on vacation, body never recovered. The following was printed in the local newspaper on July 12, 2006.

In Loving Memory of Larry Franklin
August 17, 1956-September 23, 2003

On that September day, we will always remember how you always looked forward to vacation time each year.

Larry loved to travel, and his life-long avocation was visiting national and state parks, and other locations where he could photograph waterfalls. He was an accomplished amateur photographer.

He wouldn’t pass up the chance to get the very best and most beautiful pictures. We cherish each and every one.

When it was time for Larry to leave this Earth, he was doing exactly what he loved doing the most. He will always be a part of our lives….
