Jimmie L. Frost, 74, of Mt. Vernon died 11:30 a.m. March 8, 2005, at Casey Care Center in Mt. Vernon.

He was a mechanic for G & H Machinery.

Mr. Frost was born Feb. 5, 1931, in Jefferson County to Erie and Jewell (Stonecipher) Frost.

He married Deloris L. (Morgan) Frost Feb. 10, 1951, in Mt. Vernon; she preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ron Cremeens will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. No public visitation will be held.

Mr. Frost is survived by grandchildren Stephanie Baroque and husband Robert and David Frost; great-grandchildren Chris and Brandi Berrong; sisters Lottie Mays of Mt. Vernon and Dottie Boyd of St. Louis, Mo.; and a half brother, Paul Stonecipher and wife Dixie of Dix.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a son, Billy Bob Frost.
