Barbara J. Garland age 60, of West Frankfort, passed away Sunday June 12, 2005 at 5:45 P.M. at her residence.

She was born Sept.1, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Harry Maybry and Francine (Polan) Maybry.

She married Gene Garland on January 11, 1977 in Benton, Illinois and he survives.

Besides her husband Gene, she is also survived by two sons, Michael Wileman of Tupelo, Ms. and Buster Garland of Lowell, Indiana and two daughters, Nita McBride and Robin Garland both of Greensboro, North Carolina, ten grandchildren, a brother, Scott Maybry of Arlington, Va. And a sister, Betty Stoner Russell of West Frankfort.

Also several nieces and nephews survive. She will be sadly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara had formerly worked at the Union Hospital and Franklin Hospital in the Dietary Dept.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Rev. Ted Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday to the funeral home.
