Agnes (Rector) Gilbert, 73, of Waltonville died 11:10 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 31, 2006, at her Home in Waltonville.

Mrs. Gilbert was born October 16, 1932 Keenes, IL to George Rector and Freda (Keen) Rector.

She married Sidney Dale Gilbert on September 18, 1953 in Mt. Vernon, IL. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1999.

Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm Friday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville with graveside funeral services immediately following at Knob Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by a son, Dwain Gilbert and wife Carolynn of Waltonville, IL; one daughter, Connie and husband Kevin Simpson of Wickliffe, KY; one brother, Harold Lee Rector of Keenes, IL; one sister, Jean Wilson of Mt. Vernon, IL and a dear friend , Rose Mullins of Mt. Vernon, IL. two grandsons; Charles Daniel Wells of Florida and Kasey Dale Gilbert of Waltonville, IL. one granddaughter Misty & husband Jesse Harlan of Jacksonville, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Knob Prairie Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Newell Funeral Home, 505 East Main Street Waltonville, IL 62894.
