Mrs. Lena Gilbert, 84, of 705 Herbert street, died at 4:00 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Ace Summers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Gilbert was born November 13, 1879, in Perry County, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Eva (Zachary) Mabus.

She was married to William L. Gilbert, who preceded her in death in 1935.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence W. Gilbert of Panama City, Flal, Ira V. Gilbert of Council Bluffs, Iowa and William A Gilbert of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Ed Mabus of Sesser; one sister, Mrs. Eva Sulcer of Sesser; ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
