June E. Glasco, 82, of Bonnie, went home to be with her Lord and her husband at 3:15 p.m. on May 28, 2007, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born in Spring Garden on Jan. 14, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Ferne Elizabeth (Stanley) Leonard.

She married James W. Glasco in Arkansas on Nov. 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2005.

Mrs. Glasco was a homemaker and attended the Mt. Vernon Harlan Church of God.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Vernon Harlan Church of God with Brother Ted Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be after noon on Thursday at the church. The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Glasco is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Beard and husband Bobby Sr., of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren, Craig Beard of California, Amanda May and husband Stephen of Bonnie, Bobby Beard, Jr., of Mt. Vernon., and Susan (Beard) Swyear and husband Allen of Mt. Vernon; 10 great grandchildren, Katie, Jenna, Michael, Jadon, Alexis, A.J., Candice, Tyler, Meghan, and Mary Beth; and a sister-in-law, Betty Isaacs of Bonnie.

Mrs. Glasco was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Samuel Leslie Leonard and two sisters, Loretta (Leonard) Stratton and Betty Ruth Stevenson.
