Oscar David GLAZEBROOK died at his home two and a half miles south of Ina, IL., Monday. February 1, 1897, aged 24 years, 10 months and 24 days. While feeding some work horses at an early hour Monday morning, one of them kicked him in the region of the stomach and liver, from the effects of which he died shortly after midnight.

The funeral took place the following day at Kirk Church one mile north of Ina with interment at the cemetery at that place. The obsequies were attended by a large concourse of the friends of the deceased.

Mr. GLAZEBROOK was born at Spring Garden, Ill., April 4th, 1871.

He lived with his parents during his youth and attended the public schools of Spring Garden at which he received a good education.

In 1892 he united with the Missionary Baptist Church in his native town and continued a member of that faith till the time of his death.

He went to California in 1892 where he worked on a ranch for two years, when he returned to Jefferson County and in 1894 was married to Miss Nora HARMON from which one child, a boy, was born.

He leaves a wife, son, father, mother, five brothers and sisters to mourn his loss.

As a neighbor and citizen none excelled him, being always honorable, honest, truthful, sympathetic and benevolent. Prominent among his characteristics were energy, industry and cheerfulness.
