Betty J. (Zeigler) Goforth
Betty J. Goforth, 77, of Tamaroa passed away 11:38 a.m. April 8, 2005, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Goforth was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa. She was born July 15, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of Clifford and Pearl Irene (Brown) Zeigler. She married Charles Wayne Goforth Jan. 28, 1955, in Hernando, Miss.; he survives. Mrs. Goforth is survived by her husband, of Tamaroa; a daughter, Judith Samolinski and husband James of Tamaroa; a son, Charles D. Goforth and wife Sandra of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Ronald Zeigler and wife Ann of Port Richie, Fla.; three grandsons, Chad Goforth of Florida, Matthew Goforth of Florida and Robert Samolinski of Tamaroa; and twogreat-grandchildren, Mary Samolinski of Tamaroa and Julie Goforth of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa, with the Rev. Daniel Jurek officiating. Interment will be in Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa. Friends may make memorials to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and they will be accepted at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
