Emma Olomon GOSSAGE, died at 6:00pm Tuesday Nov. 16, 1954 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Blaine Marlow of RFD 7, Mt Vernon. She was 87 yrs, 7 months and 28 days in age.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at Meyers Chapel. The Rev. Bird Green ans the Rev. Roscoe Hollis will officate and burial will be in Opdyke cemetery.

Mrs. Gossage was born March 18, 1867 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Ezekiial M. and Amanda (Teter) Knapp.

She was a life long resident of Jefferson county.

She was first married to William L. Olomon who died August 9, 1933.

She later married William J. Dossage who died June 17, 1950.

Surviving are four daughters (Effie) Mrs Blaine Marlow of Mt Vernon....Chlorene Dutton and Gladys Dennis of Ashley and (Cynthia) Mrs N.S. Boyes (Green) of Detroit, MI.; 3 half brothers, J. Raymond Knapp of South Dakota, George of Nebraska and Walter of IL; 3 half sisters , Mrs. George Conn of Mt Vernon, Mrs Robert Jones Of TX ans Mrs Elwood Boyle of CA....7 grand children and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
