Gotieb GOSWEIN Died thursday Was Born in Wurtenburg, Germany, and Was Almost 82 Years Old, Funeral Friday.

GOTIEB GOSWEIN, died Thursday morning at 6 o'clock, death being due to kidney trouble and old age.

He was born in Wurtenburg, Germany, and had he lived until March 27 next, would have been 82 years of age.

He emigrated in this country about 60 years ago and located at Marseilles, Ill. where he lived until about eight years ago, when he removed with his son, C. L. GESWEIN, who had purchased a farm in Pleasant Grove neighborhood, in this county, where he resided until his death.

Deceased was a shoemaker by trade and followed that occupation many years before coming to Jefferson county.

His wife died about 20 years ago.

Deceased is survived by two sons, C. L. of this county and Henry, of Joliet, Ill. and by one sister, Mrs. Ida WILKIN, who makes her home with her brother, C. L. on the farm. Mr. GESWEIN was highly respected by all his neighbors and friends and was a good citizen and a good man in every respect.

Interment will be held at 10:30 Friday morning, at Pleasant Grove cemetery, and services will be conducted by Rev. SHERIDAN.
