Emory Gordan Graham
Emory Gordan Graham, 85, of Mt. Vernon died May 3, 2002, at Jeffersonian Care Center in Mt. Vernon. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. Mr. Graham was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Jefferson County. He married Katherine M. Winkler; she died Dec. 16, 1983. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Panther Fork Cemetery. The Rev. Merle Fullerton will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery Monday. Military flag presentation will be conducted by the chaplain of Americal Legion Post 141 of Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hughey Funeral Home. Mr. Graham is survived by two sons, David Staley of Flordia and Gordon Graham of Salem; a daughter, Loretta Gasper of West Frankfort; and a grandson, Johnathan Gasper of West Frankfort. Mr. Graham was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 141.
