Beverly Sue Green, 56, of Waltonville, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003.

Mrs. Green held jobs at Franklin Hospital, Herrin Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. Her last place of employment was at Menard Correctional Facility.

Mrs. Green received her bachelor's degree in nursing at SIU Edwardsville and was also ACLS certified.

She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Scheller. She also held memberships in the Illinois Nurses Association, Du Quoin Saddle Club and Spotted Saddle Horse Association.

She was born November 18, 1946 in Johnston City, the daughter of Ned Aaron and Florence (Gibbons) Aaron.

She married Harry Green on June 28, 1971 in Creal Springs. He survives.

In addition to her husband of Waltonville, she is survived by one son, Jason Green of Waltonville; three daughters, Kimberly Pearce and husband Monty of Sesser, Terri Fred and husband Carroll of Sesser and Heather Ilbery of Tamaroa; one daughter-in-law, Tara Green of Sesser; two sisters, Rosemary Lopez of Belleville and Linda Youngblood of Texas; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-brother and one step-sister.

Funeral services were Saturday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Clifford Hicks officiating. Burial followed in Knob Prairie Cemetery in rural Jefferson County.
