Edith Ellen (Rutherford) Green Waltonville

Mrs. Edith Ellen Green, 85, of Waltonville, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Chapel in Waltonville, with the Rev. Floyd Hartley officiating. Burial win be in Knob Prairie cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Born in Jefferson county on Nov. 17, 1888, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Rightnowar) Rutherford.

On Dec. 19, 1906, she married Rufus Green, who died in 1951.

Mrs. Green was a member of Waltonville Universalist church. She is survived by one son. Arthur Green, of Waltonville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
