Elizabeth HOWELL was born in Jefferson County, IL, July 11, 1857, died July 11, 1921, at the age of 64.

She was married to James Clinton GREEN, October 21, 1874.

To this union ten children were born, two of whom died in early life. Those who survive are W. L. GREEN of Salem, IL, Mort, Roy, Shelly and Mrs. Rosa DAVIS of Bluford, IL, Mrs. Willie BROWDER of Dahlgren, Earn of Green Valley, IL, Bird of Belle Rive.

She made a profession of faith in Christ more than 30 years ago at the old Weatherspoon school house under the preaching of Elder Dick ESMON, but had on account of a large family of small children to care for she never could attend church like she desired.

She was untiring in her labors of love for the children and no sacrifice was too great for her to undergo for any of them.

Funeral at Bluford Baptist Church conducted by Elder Dick ESMON and J. V. LOWERY, burial in the Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
