Irene L. (Loman) Green
Irene Green Of Waltonville Died At Age 65 Irene L. Green, 65, Waltonville, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in her home. Mrs. Green was born in Reydell, Ark., on Sept. 28, 1919, the daughter of Grover and Anna (Rightnowar) Loman. On Nov. 8, 1946, in Kentucky, she married William Arthur Green, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1977. She was a retired shoe factory worker and a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post No. 4 in Mt. Vernon. She was also a member of the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary Post No. 9153 in Waltonville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Fry and Frick Funeral Home in Waltonville with the Rev. Merritt Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Knob Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by one son, Buddy Hall of Waltonville, two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joyce) Robinson of Sesser and Mrs. Noble (Sharon) Chiapelli of Waltonville; one brother, Gary Lloyd Hodge of Waltonville; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Newell of Waltonville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather, Quince Hodge; one sister, three stepbrothers and two grandchildren.
