Catharan A. Griffith, was born in Ohio, Jan. 17, 1834.

She was married to David Paradee Aug. 29, 1854, in Ohio; came to Illinois the next day, to near Collinsville, in Madison county; moving from there to Fayette county, where David Paradee died, June 13, 1900.

Seven children blessed this union, two dying in infancy, two more after they were grown.
