Mary Price Hails
Mrs. J.W. Hails, of Field Townships buried Yesterday Mrs. Mary Hails, wife of J.Watt Hails of Field township, died Monday afternoon after an illness of about eight weeks. Death was due to paralysis and heart trouble. She was stricken with paralysis about two months ago, the second stroke in three years. Mrs.Hails would have been 75 years old next month. She was buried yesterday afternoon at Union Chapel. Mrs. Hails is survived by her husband, J.Watt Hails, and the following named children; James Price, Mt.Vernon; Gus Price, Nebraska; Jesse Price, Divide, and Wm. Price, Texico; Mrs. David Hawkins, Texico and Mrs. Wm.Haynes. Two sisters in Ohio survive, as do a number of grandchildren. Mrs. Hails was twice married, her first husband, David Price, having died fifteen years ago. She was united in marriage with J. Watt Hails about twelve years ago. Mrs. Hails was a member of the Union Chapel church and a consecrated christian woman. She was very charitable and ever ready to answer the call of the distressed and practiced the Golden Rule in her daily life and conduct. She will be greatly missed in the locality in which she lived and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
