Della Mae (Redburn) Halbrooks
Della Halbrooks; Former Resident, Dies in Indiana Mrs. Della Mae Halbrooks, 79, a former Jefferson county resident, died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Ind. She had been a patient there for three weeks. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock at the United Brethren Church of Bluford. The Rev. Earl Michaels and the Rev. Norman Lemar will officiate and burial will follow in East Hickory Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after four o'clock this afternoon. The body will be removed to the church at noon Saturday. Mrs. Halbrooks was born in Jefferson county on June 7, 179 the daughter of Thomas and Lucretia (Butler) Redburn. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ferne Clemmons of Beech Grove; two sons, Ross of Collinsville and Harold of Silver Springs, Md.; and one brother, John Redburn of Flint, Mich. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W., who died in 1931.
